nice little unit
I am very happy with this Canon D320. I purchased this copier because I wanted a copier not a 3-in-1 unit for home use. This is a black and white copier and is very quick to use. No warm-up time. If I want to save on toner then I have to reset the exposure every time I use it for different jobs. I wish it could be set permanently. It has a toner save feature but the copies come out too light. It boasts a lot of copies from one toner which other reviews have said is incorrect. I havent had it long enough to go through a whole cartridge. I used to have a Canon copier got too old and the fuser roller was too expensive to replace. This one holds more paper and works much better with two sided copies than my old unit. It holds 10 sheets paper for auto feed. The toners are expensive because they have all the working parts in them and there is no need to buy a separate drum. So it isnt as bad as having to buy both. There is little if any maintenance on it. It can be used as a printer for a computer too but I dont use it for that so I cant comment. If this one lasts as long as my other Canon or longer I will be a very satified customer.

Great Machine For The Money
I bought this machine for use in my home music studio. I teach private music lessons and find that Im regularly needing to photocopy music for a student to use as a rehearsal copy. No copyright violations here Ive got the machine connected to my Windows laptop computer running XP and I dont recall having any difficulty installing the drivers at all. This machine has performed flawlessly as a printer and as a copier and for the price its a very good deal.

Great Low Volume Copier
I didnt want a printer I needed a low-volume copier. This fit the bill perfectly. It turns on instantly after being in energy-save mode copies as fast as it says makes extremely nice copies is easy to clear jams and does copy manually on both sides of the paper. I doubt it would be great for high-volume use the toner would probably be too expensive though still less than a service contract on a higher-priced copy machine but I installed it in our math department workroom and it has performed wonderfully. How does it work as a printer? Cant say ... I didnt connect it that way. We use it only as a copier. I recommend it highly

Thank goodness the Third Party sellers are coming out with cheaper ink cartridges. I doubt they are OEM but would be pleasantly surprised if they are. Anyway I just installed a new PG-210 black ink cart. after the original one ran dry in about a month of owning my new MP-240 printer. Not a lot of printed pages but its history. Today I printed up some tax forms w/the replacement cart. and its already 1/3 down. The Color cart. is about 1/2 down. Such is life I guess. Shipment not Recieved
More than 20 days out from shipment date and had to contact seller that I had not received my product. His comment at that time was reasonable that he had to contact shipping and see what the status was. Two days later I received an email that they would refund my money. I suggest that they track their shipments closer. I really suspect that it was not even shipped at all. I would give them another chance but I would monitor them closer than I did.

Do Not Support Planned Obsolecence
I bought the Canon MultiPass c530 multifunction copier/printer/fax because I sometimes need to fax. I have used it only a few times many months apart. Now even though I bought brand new ink cartridges it still says theres no ink. Contacting Canon they say I need to buy this a replacement ink with ink head. They claim that theyre supposed to last many ink tanks but they do not. Its like the ink heads just expire after a certain amount of time. Why would I pay $50 for this when who knows how long from now Ill need to buy another one. On the same aisle at the store that they have these I can buy an entire brand new multifunction printer/copier/fax for just $30 more. Tell me Canon how does that make sense? Forget this piece of junk. Im going to throw away my c530 and buy from some other brand from now on. Canon you cant just make something that is this poorly made and expensive to maintain and expect to keep customers. I dont care if your management changes or if you start making better stuff. If you ever release something this terrible you can lose a customer for life and you just have.
